visualdynamics.gui.signature_panel¶
signature_panel
¶
The signature comparison's settings and its table, beside the two signatures it compares.
The Signature reading of two FRFs, transmissibilities or tracked
sweeps selected together draws them over each other with a window on
each mode for its limits (plot.signature). This panel holds what the
comparison is made under (which of the two is the signature before the
test, the modes named and which of them count, and the two limits) and,
under them, what came of it: each mode's frequency and height before
and after, its two shifts, Q before and after, its verdict, and what
its readings cannot be trusted for.
Every edit redraws the plot at once. Nothing is made: the comparison is
a reading of two objects that already exist, as the signal-to-noise
reading of two densities is, so there is no Apply button. The same
call a script makes, core.signature.compare_signatures, gives every
number shown here.

Methods:¶
set_pair
¶
Offer the two selected objects as the signature before, keeping the choice when the same two are selected again. A new pair clears the modes named, which were named for the last pair's article, so its own are found.

settings
¶
The comparison's arguments: 'before' (the name chosen), 'modes' (the field read, None when empty, a string when it cannot be read), 'find', 'frequency_limit' and 'amplitude_limit'.

set_settings
¶
set_settings(before: str | None = None, modes: Sequence[SignatureMode] | str | None = None, find: int | None = None, frequency_limit: float | None = None, amplitude_limit: float | None = None) -> None
Set the fields without a redraw per field, then emit once.

show_result
¶
Write the verdict and each mode's block: its label and
verdict, then the frequency, height and Q before and after with
the two shifts, then the mode's notes. scale takes the heights
from SI to the units the plot is drawn in, and unit names
them. None clears the readout.

Functions:¶
parse_modes
¶
parse_modes(text: str) -> list[SignatureMode]
The modes field read: frequencies in Hz separated by commas or spaces, a mode that does not count written in parentheses, as in '84, (412)'. Raises ValueError for anything else.

modes_text
¶
modes_text(modes: Sequence[SignatureMode]) -> str
The modes as the field writes them, the inverse of
parse_modes.
