visualdynamics.plot.partial_coherence¶
partial_coherence
¶
The partial, reference and virtual coherence of one response, drawn.
A PartialCoherence (core.partial_coherence) holds every response
against every reference. build_partial_coherence draws one response
as three plots on a shared frequency axis, each told apart by line
style, marker shape and words, never by hue alone:
- above, the multiple coherence heavy and solid, and under it the partial coherence with each reference, each in its own dash and with its own marker every few lines, named 'partial with 1Z+';
- in the middle, the coherence between every pair of references, the
same styles, with the level over which two drives are hard to tell
apart drawn dotted (
core.partial_coherence.COUPLED); - beneath, the principal references' autospectra as shares of the first, in decibels: how many independent drives the test had at each line, with the response's virtual coherences named in the legend.

build_partial_coherence
¶
build_partial_coherence(layout: Any, reading: Any, response: int | str = 0, *, theme: Any = None) -> tuple[Any, Any, Any]
Draw one response of a partial coherence reading into a graphics layout and return its three plots, (coherence, references, principal).
response is the response's position or name. The reading's notes
and its one-line description go under the title.
